My name is Daria Zhigulskaia

About me
I’m teaching Russian as a Foreign Language at Full Marks Belgium language school and Algorithm School.
I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language and Chinese for over 10 years. In the last two years, I have focused on online classes. I am the coach of the Moscow Chinese language team.
From 2013 to 2022, I worked as a teacher of Chinese language and Russian as a foreign language at Moscow State University (Higher School of Translation and Interpreting). I taught both practical and theoretical courses.
From 2019 to 2023, I was an invited lecturer at the School of Asian Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE).

Education
In 2013 I graduated from the Institute of Asian and African studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University (Department of Chinese History). In 2018 I did Master’s degree at Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Department of Teaching Russian as a Foreign language).
In July 2023, I got the CELTA (Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification.
Currently, I am enrolled as a participant in the TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate program at Columbia University Teachers College.

Online-courses
A Course on the series "女总裁虐我千百遍" ("Female CEO Loves me"). This series was made in 2022. Each episode is only 8 minutes long. But we work both with the whole series and with the small episodes (fragments) from the series. Thanks to the course, you will not only improve your listening skills, but also try yourself as a subtitle translator and even a voice actor. The course is suitable for anyone who speaks Chinese at HSK level 3 and above.

A course on the film "我不是药神" ("Dying to Survive"). The film is divided into 7 episodes. For each episode a lot of different tasks have been prepared. The course is suitable for anyone who speaks Chinese at the HSK4 level and above.
